The Three Obese Ducklings

It was a beautiful sunny day out here in Arkansas. Mother Duck had been patiently waiting day and night for her eggs to hatch.
Finally, she felt something wiggle beneath her. It was the first movements ever made by her eggs. One by one they began to crack until all three of them came out. Mother Duck was overjoyed and couldn’t wait to take her babies to the pond and teach them what being a duck was all about.
After about two months of learning, and walking to the pond everyday, the ducklings began to establish bad eating habits. Instead of eating seeds, aquatic grasses, and submerged weeds like their mom had taught them to, they enjoyed munching out on bread that humans would feed them.
A couple weeks had gone by and Mother Duck wanted to take her ducklings back to the pond, but there were three huge problems. Mother Duck’s babies were all obese! None of them could get up and walk. She quacked for the Ducktor who immediately began to examine all her ducklings.
The Ducktor quickly searched “obesity” online and diagnosed all three ducklings with type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, coronary heart disease, sleep apnea, osteoarthritis, beak cancer, webbed-foot cancer, hind neck cancer, and tail cancer! The Ducktor said that their conditions were no excuse for not exercising and that they needed to eat healthier. Worse case scenario would be that the ducklings would never be able to fly.
The Ducktor knew that the ducklings couldn’t walk so he gave them all crutches to make it to the pond for mild aerobic exercise. To get to the pond, they had to go over a hill. Depressed Mother Duck began to lead the way.

The ducklings all struggled to get to the top of the hill, but once they finally did, they took a little break. Mother duck gave them all some water and after about three hours of a break, they began to head down the hill.
About halfway down the hill, the last baby duckling stumbled on his webbed foot and bumped into his two other siblings. All three ducklings began to roll down and Mother Duckling couldn’t keep up with them.

They fell into the water, but being obese with osteoarthritis and webbed-foot cancer made them incapable of swimming. In the end, all three ducklings drowned.
The End
